BEEHIVE CHAPTER 1: THE FUN THEY HAD
Good Morning dear students!!
I hope everyone is doing fine and
maintaining hygiene and cleanliness as it’s
need of the hour.
I commend you all for it!!
Let’s start our Literature section from
today.
The lesson we are going to learn is “Fun
They Had”
Learning Outcome:
The students will be able to :
-infer new word meanings
- understand the concept of Modern schooling
-analyze the theme and comprehend
the textual analogies
These days because of the on going pandemic and lockdown, you all are
not able to go to school. How does it feel?
In 2020 the classes are running through a new platform…the virtual
platform…is it exciting or becoming monotonous?
A penny for your
thoughts………….
You might say it is amazing, monotonous, exhilarating …..
Imagine how the teaching –learning process will change after say 30
years from now….in 2050. Will the students go to schools or they will have a
totally different robotic platform? You can mull over(ponder/ think about)
these points…
This story deals with the same theme..This is a very light story. It is set in the future. It will make you
all love school. This story is regarding school life and how
those children who do not got to school, miss school. The setting of the story
is in the future when perhaps, there will be no school, no books. Now how those
students will miss going to school and will feel that their ancestors that is
the present generation- you all, had fun going to school, meeting and helping
each other. In the end we come to know that this is an imagination of a
young girl named Margie who comes to know that their ancestors used to go to
school, all the children used to study together. She feels that they all had a
lot of fun when they went to school. So, when we read the story, we feel that
school life is very good, and we are fortunate that we have real schools where
we go, meet friends and get a chance to study together.
